Before I got Engaged
I started my recruitment career in 2018, interviewing as a candidate and it stemmed from there! Luckily the agency I started with at the time spotted something in me which gave me the opportunity to join an industry I truly love working in. Over the past 4 years I have been specialising in engineering and manufacturing recruitment across Scotland working across a variety of industries, with a proven track record placing candidates from Skilled Operator to Management level. This is a sector I will always enjoy working in, it’s quickly evolving, demands and requirements change all the time. It definitely keeps me on my toes!
Why I got Engaged
After having my little girl, I was looking for a role that could offer me flexibility and work life balance. It’s important for me to continue doing what I love whilst also being present and around for my baby. I believe that you can be successful and still be a good mum. Joining Engage ticked all my boxes (there was a lot!) and knowing the team from my first recruitment role made the transition easier. Making the move from the corporate world to a boutique agency will allow me to focus on providing a more hands on, first class service to my clients whilst being able to adapt more to their business needs. Making life easier for businesses looking secure top talent is an essential part of my role.
What Engages Me
Being a mummy to my baby girl, Ellie-Mae. Wow my life changed completely after having her but I still love my red wine, eating out and family time. Nights out seam like a thing of the past and changed to soft play dates, but I still enjoy a drunken night out (very rare but they do happen…. I think!) and live for my holidays too.
