Operations Director - Glasgow

This is a role for an ambitious, driven and experienced leader within the Construction Industry.

 

Our client is a well-established organisation within the construction sector, offering a range of services to an enviable list of clients. This role will be responsible for running their Housing Division that currently has a turnover of c£10m offering housebuilding and refurbishment services in both the private and public sector, leading a multi-disciplined team. The role will lead the growth of the housing business in the Central Belt of Scotland and the North East of England with a real focus on making development decisions. In addition, the key accountabilities will include :  

 

  • Development and execution of the strategy for the Housing Division
  • Business growth  (plans to grow to £15m - £20m)
  • With the team identify development opportunities
  • Team development and engagement
  • Continued health and safety

 

In addition, this role will be seen as a ‘future hire’ with potential succession to the Board something that would be achievable and expected.

 

We would like to speak to candidates who are experienced Operational Leaders who may have come through the commercial or operations route.  Ideally, we would like to attract those who have experience in the housebuilding sector who is able to lead multiple projects across a diverse range of customers. 

 

You will be a collaborator with strong drive and commerciality who take a pro-active approach, engaging others in the end objective and creating a strong sense of purpose and direction.  Working with clients will be something that you excel at and identifying opportunities to grow and improve the business will come as second nature.
