Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Glasgow
Purpose of the Role
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting management to implement and sustain process and production improvements. Your focus will be on enhancing production efficiency, output, and most importantly product quality. This is a hands-on supervisory role, meaning you will also be expected to carry out production operative tasks when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Work Area Management: Set up and organise workstations for specific tasks.
- Team Coordination: Assign jobs to operators and manage rotation schedules.
- Training & Oversight: Ensure all team members understand and can perform their assigned functions effectively.
- Process Compliance: Monitor adherence to assembly procedures and operational standards.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee product assembly and packaging to meet control documentation and inspection criteria.
- Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the production area.
- Cross-Department Support: Provide supervisory cover in other departments as needed.
- System Proficiency: Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the CIMPAC Business Information Management System.
- Inventory Accuracy: Ensure daily completion of stock corrections and ASK request clear downs.
- Collaboration: Foster effective working relationships across departments.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor staff performance, including output and work methods, and provide feedback to management.
- Regularly review systems and procedures, recommending improvements.
- Conduct Return to Work interviews following staff absences.
- Promote and enforce safe working practices in line with HSE guidelines.
- Organize and deliver departmental training aligned with the training matrix and business needs.
