Join our growing team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact engineering and subcontractor projects.

We’re seeking a Document Controller to manage and maintain robust documentation practices that support engineering, procurement, and subcontractor teams across a range of dynamic projects. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role ensures all technical and project-related documentation is traceable, version-controlled, and aligned with internal and industry standards.


What You'll Do

  • Administer a centralised document control system for all engineering and subcontractor documentation
  • Manage the full document lifecycle – from receipt and distribution to archiving – for drawings, contracts, POs, BOMs, and change requests
  • Enforce consistent naming conventions and metadata standards across all stakeholders
  • Track and log changes, variations, and approvals with full audit trails
  • Work closely with internal departments (Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls) and external subcontractors
  • Support audits, reporting, and compliance with quality systems such as ISO 9001

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven experience in engineering document control (construction, infrastructure, or energy sector preferred)
  • Deep understanding of subcontractor documentation workflows
  • Hands-on experience with systems like Aconex, Asite, SharePoint, or Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Knowledge of version control, metadata tagging, and document naming protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination ability

Desirable:

  • Experience with BIM workflows and document control integration
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and terminology
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
  • Knowledge of change control and variation processes
