Trade Sales Representative - Lanarkshire

You're an eager sales representative looking for a fresh challenge, an individual who has excellent commercial awareness and a natural ability to build strong, successful relationships.

 

You have extensive knowledge of how to work with, advise and adapt to multiple trade clients. You really want the opportunity to liaise with clients not only from the comfort of your office, but face to face across the central belt of Scotland and occasionally beyond.

As a Trade Sales Representative, you'll be working with the Business Development team in a newly created position that will support with securing the revenue and margin for the trade sector; ensuring that customers are provided with a 'first in class' service from start to finish.

 

Although this role will be primarily based from its manufacturing site in East Kilbride, there will be a requirement to travel based on customer requirements.

 

As part of this brand new role within the business, you will be trusted to:

 

  • Work closely with the Business Development team to deliver a pipeline of opportunities of appropriate type and quality, and of a size sufficient to deliver the targeted new business for trade sales.
  • Secure appropriate market intelligence and foster networks of contacts across the trade sector
  • Supply accurate and timely intelligence and leads
  • Ensure individual sales targets are met and contribute to team success
  • Have regular engagement with clients and vendors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
  • Provide customers with brochures and samples as and where appropriate 
  • Work with manufacturing and planning, to ensure customer delivery dates are met
  • Liaise with customers to gain feedback on projects
  • Ensure information held on business CRM is up to date and accurate

 

Ideally, you will have:

  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • A natural ability to build strong and successful relationships
  • Sales experience within a trade sector/industry
