Sales Manager, Glasgow                                                                              £30,000 - £40,000

The Role

The successful person will run a small team and is responsible for leading the sales activities across main markets as well as being hands-on in selling directly to customers.  This role is mainly hands-on selling with 85% of time spent directly selling to customer and 15% of time coordinating the sales team.  This person will be responsible for leading by example in setting and achieving their personal target whilst ensuring that the team are focused on achieving their commitments.


The Candidate

This role requires an experienced commodity salesperson, with experience in international markets who has the following skills/attributes :

  • The ability to build effective relationships across the customer base
  • The ability to develop new customers
  • Tenacity, drive and ambition
  • Can do attitude
  • Leading by example, developing new customers, following-up effectively and supporting the team in their exertions.
  • Courageous, passionate and agile
  • Great sales skills with the ability to support the development of others.
  • Fluency in another language is essential, preferably in one of the following: Spanish, Russian, Polish, Chinese Mandarin, Arabic, Eastern European languages
