A well-known, successful company in Edinburgh have created a role for a Procurement & Sourcing Manager to join their team permanently.
The Procurement & Sourcing Leader will be responsible for all purchasing and sourcing activities within the business, managing suppliers and contracts to deliver a continuity of supply, improved delivery performance and contractual savings that increase the overall group margin.
Accountabilities:

Implement and manage the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for the Group.

Analyse current company spending, existing supplier performance and look for cost efficiencies and improvements.

Build and maintain robust relationships with the existing supplier base.

Develop a sourcing plan, identifying new suppliers in key business areas.

Negotiate contracts and monitor service level agreements on an ongoing basis.

Set KPI’s for purchasing efficiency, quality, on-time delivery and cost savings.

Collaborate with the board in the development of financial and budgetary plans for the procurement function.

Ensuring that the business has the necessary resources to achieve operational targets.

Communicate clearly with the team providing clarity around procurement expectations and measures.

Manage sub-standard supplier performance, working through improvement options and measuring the results.

Forecast demand and price trends for products and services.

Conduct ongoing risk assessments and take action to ensure that any potential threats to supply are minimised.

Continuously analyse market trends and ensure the procurement department is agile enough to swiftly adapt where necessary.
What you’ll need:

Experience in a strategic sourcing and purchasing role within an industrial environment

Superior knowledge of sourcing and contract negotiation
-
Familiarity with MS Office and sourcing software, ideally experience of implementing
procurement software.
