Health & Safety Advisor - Lanarkshire

£30,000 - £35,000 DOE - Manufacturing

Are you a driven health & safety professional interested in working for a growing family business? Would you like the opportunity to work across different environments where no two days are the same?

Due to ongoing growth, we have a requirement for a Health and Safety Advisor to provide support and expertise to the existing SHEQ department.

Working closely with SHEQ Manager, you will play a pivotal role in championing the health and safety agenda and ensuring the health and safety of colleagues is top priority.

This is a newly-created role and one where you will be given a platform to truly make an impact in a thriving organisation – it is a unique opportunity that will suit a self-motivated, passionate, and energetic individual.

Typical tasks will include:

  • Assist with incident reporting process; undertake investigations and report the outcomes where necessary
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections
  • Ongoing risk assessment actions
  • Analyse trends across the business and use results to drive improvement
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews, and ensuring procedures are followed

What you’ll need:

  • NEBOSH qualification or similar
  • Previous health and safety experience in a challenging environment e.g. manufacturing, waste, heavy plant, construction.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • Full driving licence
